Storm over the Summer Isles is a large-scale pastel on a whole sheet of grey coloured canson paper, painted in 1993. The view is from the sea on a cruise around the Summer Isles. The break in the clouds and the silvery light on the water hint of an end to the summer showers, although the initial impression is one of drama.
